THE COURSE

Today | Yesterday| Tomorrow | Tour the New Papago

Papago Golf Course has reopened in a remarkable eight months, but there's still much work to be done.

The Learning Center

As part of the restoration of Papago Golf Course, a commitment is being made to enhanced instructional and practice opportunities. In addition to a driving range and practice putting greens, plans are under consideration for a Learning Center. It's goal would be to provide an environment where golfers of all skill levels have the opportunity to become as good as they can be. Since effective golf mastery requires focus on all aspects of the game, any plans for a Learning Center would incorporate opportunities to focus on the entire game and all related elements.

The Club House

During the restoration process, the original Papago Club House was carefully analyzed and it was concluded that building from scratch was a wiser course of action than trying to refurbish. Plans are now being developed for a new, "green," club house that will further enhance the course aesthetics as well as the overall Papago experience. When completed, it will offer a full-service golf shop, restaurant facilities, a pavilion for hosting large events and conference room facilities for smaller groups. The golf course will be operated from temporary facilities until the new clubhouse is completed.
